This is where you come in...
We have created the new position of a Senior Category Manager to drive sustainable growth by maximising sales/profitability through insights to support the company achieve its objectives.
We see this to be a crucial role to support decision making across all functions of sales and marketing as well as driving the execution of the Commercial Planning Process, RGM, Category Strategy, and Channel development.

The role:
  • Gain buy-in and alignment across the business to realise key commercial opportunities based on insights
  • Responsible to ensure that category volume/value and internal business targets are achieved within category allocated budgets
  • Along with our Head Of Category, define & implement category & channel strategy and go-to-market plans for the market
  • Analyze and drive core distribution, visibility and promotional guidelines by channel and Key Customers through planning sessions and range reviews
  • Drive key initiatives with our organisation’s Transformation programme
  • Support drive the RGM program execution
  • Provide coaching and leadership to direct reports to ensure they are developing and have clear growth pathways for their career development
About you:

Equally, you will be a passionate leader, invested in your team’s success, growth and development.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders and their competing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral), high-level interpersonal skills and sound judgment
  • Proven skills in team leadership and developing individuals to achieve their full potential
  • A commercial mindset in conjunction with an analytical mind and a strategic ability
  • Full comprehension of category management, marketing, channel and sales principles
  • Extensive understanding of consumer, shopper and channel needs across the retail environment
  • Understanding of data analysis, forecasting and research methods
  • Comprehensive knowledge of RGM principles, applications and execution
  • Sound knowledge across the Microsoft office suite, Aztec/Nielsen, Quantium, Research
  • 5+ years’ experience in CBM, category manager or similar role
  • FMCG/Grocery experience is critical and exposure to the pet food category would be advantageous
  • Bachelor Degree in business administration, marketing or related field
