This is where you come in…
We are looking for an accountable project engineer to be responsible for all engineering and technical disciplines that projects involve. You will Scope, Design, prepare Capital Submissions, schedule, plan, forecast, resource, execution and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. The role will see you delivering on time projects. This is a Site Support position.
  • Asses project create brief and assess the viability
  • Design solution, create tender and obtain quotations
  • Developing project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans according to business needs
  • Provide support to other contract Engineers when required
  • Prepare, Scope of works, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects
  • Managing CAPEX projects on site
  • Controlling project costs; administering requisitions, orders, receipts and cost reporting.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
  • Interact daily with key stakeholders to interpret their needs and requirements for improved efficiencies
  • Perform overall quality control of the work (Scope, Capex submission, budget, schedule, plans, contractor performance) and provide regular status reports
  • Assign responsibilities and mentor project team
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to provide assistance and technical support during project execution and post-implementation review
  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate records and files according to quality standards
  • Execute Projects with complete documentation, training Docs, manuals, spare parts and final risk assessment
  • Proven working experience (minimum 3 years) as a project engineer in a food manufacturing environment
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • Must have CAD experience
  • Intermediate to advance excel
  • Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
  • Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
  • Project management skills
  • Decision-making ability and leadership skills
  • Proactive, resourceful & highly motivated with good communication skills and ability to work in high output environment
  • Time management and organisation skills
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar related degree)
  • The role will require a vaccination
