This is where you come in…
We are looking for a packaging technologist to lead the design and development of packaging within applicable pet food categories and drive packaging innovation, renovation, improvement, sustainability, and efficiency implementation projects. This is an end-to-end packaging role with the opportunity to truly make it your own across all things packaging; from tenders to NPD, to efficiency projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Deliver all packaging projects in full and on time
• Identify, research and put forward packaging innovation projects
• Technical input into the artwork procedure
• Drive packaging implementation at the site of manufacture
• Work in efficiency-improving initiatives 
• Work with factory QA teams on setting standards and resolving Quality issues
• Support commissioning of new packaging lines
• Lead packaging trials and implementations across multiple manufacturing sites
• Support and advance the Packaging Sustainability Strategy and its associated targets and concepts
• Develop and maintain Packaging Specifications for all applicable categories

The ideal candidate:

• Packaging experience within FMCG
• Ability to communicate effectively between internal stakeholders and external stakeholders across all organisational levels
• Confident in the translation of technical detail into packaging concepts and vice versa
• Proactive in the design of new packaging innovations and the identification of continuous improvement opportunities – both within the manufacturing process and the packaging materials
• Experience dealing with design houses, printing houses, packaging material suppliers, and packaging machinery suppliers
• Previous experience leading complex projects, with multiple stakeholders, across different geographical locations
• Great attention to detail, yet creative
• Ability to work autonomously, and self-directed
