This is where you come in:
We are looking for a dynamic account manager to be responsible for our Pet Specialty retailers (Independents & Distributors). The role will see you developing and agreeing on JBPs in line with the company's pricing guidelines and commercial objectives, whilst preparing and presenting point of purchase strategies and working with the category team on category reviews. You should be able to juggle multiple, changing and conflicting priorities including short-term monthly volume targets and balancing longer-term (annual) targets.

This role will suit an individual who is not afraid to take on a challenge, work under pressure and celebrate win within a highly competitive environment. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Identify and implement effective JBPs and customer activation programs that are driven through the Brand vision and strategies and aligned to our category strategy
  • Responsible for the commercial P&L of your business including ownership of the ‘Customer Contribution Statement’ (CCS)
  • Drive profitability and margin enhancement via effective business planning, pricing, and promotional forecasting
  • Range Review Presentations/ Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Forecasting management, liaising with supply chain to ensure sufficient stock weight and deliveries are available to us
  • Primary contact for designated retailers
About you:
  • Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, influencing skills, and stakeholder management
  • Strong cross-functional engagement across finance, factories, packaging, and other CBMS need managing across all tender/ NPD submissions
  • Good current knowledge and exposure to the grocery, specialty and or P&C channels including route to markets
  • Proven capability in translating category insights into commercial plans
  • Account Management experience within Grocery FMCG Channels
  • Field experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or similar
  • Negotiation Training (Sentinel / GAP preferred)
