This is where you come in: 
In this role, reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the timely procurement and delivery of manufacturing equipment components.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Coordinate the Engineering stores, purchasing and receiving functions at our Yatala factory
  • Assist in the preparation of accurate financial, maintenance and management reporting
  • Organisation and maintenance of the stores, its inventory and system
  • Control all aspects of the stores and its systems
  • Gain prices and parts from supplies to meet deadlines within the department as set by the business.
  • Seek opportunities to minimise the number of vendors we deal with on a regular basis
  • Monitor supplier performance and work with vendors to improve performance where necessary
  • Mediate between supplier and site in the event of disputes
 
The successful candidate:
  • Will have previous experience with FMCG company/industrial food production environment
  • Proven ability to stock control
  • Ability to negotiate and manage new existing supplier contracts
  • Computer literate, CMMS knowledge/experience, previous experience in engineering stock control
  • Intermediate Excel skills and experience using purchasing software such as QAD, SAP
  • Be customer focused (both internal and external)
  • Computer literate, CMMS knowledge/experience such as MEX
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deal effectively with people of all levels of the organisation
