That's where you come in...
This newly created role will report to the  Group Internal Audit Manager; responsible for assisting with a range of internal audit activities that support the evaluation of the internal control environment, following up on previous control gaps, assessing risks across the organisation, and support the functioning of the Internal Audit function.
This role will suit someone with a firm understanding of accounting and business controls, excellent attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly. Requiring excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, this role will work with key personnel throughout the business. Responsibilities include:
  • Assist with the internal audit project and Global Control Standard testing planning, fieldwork, and reporting
  • Assist with the development of the strategic internal audit plan and annual internal audit plan
  • Conduct follow up on the previous control gaps and report the outcome under supervision
  • Assist with year-end compliance self-assessment circulation, follow-up as required and reporting
  • Provide compliance training as needed
  • Provide risk management and related critical control assessment
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Basic knowledge of Accounting Standards and compliance requirements
  • Quick learner and ability to learn internal systems and organisational structure
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral), high level interpersonal skills
  • Good time management, organisation, and prioritisation
  • Microsoft skills (Excel, Word, PPT, etc.), experience in PowerBI/SQL is a bonus
  • Working knowledge of ERP Systems
  • Exposure to commercial FMCG manufacturing environments or similar
  • Bachelors Degree (Commerce, Economics, Accounting, Engineering)
  • Completed or currently working towards CIA/CA/CPA or equivalent risk management professional memberships is a plus
